36,000 more garment factory workers to get salary on bKash

Eight more leading RMG companies in the country will distribute salaries and allowances to their employees and workers through bKash's payroll solution. More than one million workers in more than 1,100 factories in the country's garment industry are being paid salaries and allowances using bKash's digital payroll solution.

BKash's agreement with these companies was officially announced recently at bKash's head office. The Group Director of Moazuddin Group Abdullah Al Noman, Target Group Advisor Abdul Haque, Jamaluddin Group Managing Director Md Jamal Uddin Miah, Shahana Group Managing Director Dr Md Mizanur Rahman Apu, Britannia Group Managing Director Jamil Ahmed and Patriot Group Managing Director Md Iqbal Hossain were present on the occasion. Managing Director of Ananta Group Enamul Haque Khan and Managing Director of HAMS Group Engineer Md Shafiqur Rahman were present as special guests. BKash Founder and CEO Kamal Qadir, Chief Commercial Officer Ali Ahmed and Chief Communications Officer Mahfuz Sadiq also spoke on the occasion.

The entrepreneurs of the companies using payroll solutions present at the event shared their experiences. They said that the factory authorities no longer have to worry about the cost and safety of carrying cash, valuable working hours are not wasted, as well as the trouble of retail and counterfeit money while paying salaries, the payment of salaries has become easier, transparent and accountable.

Employees are now getting the opportunity to improve their financial management by using the salary received in bKash digitally. Workers can avail digital nano loans, savings, insurance and many other financial services of banks and financial institutions from their bKash account.

BKash is working to create a sustainable financial ecosystem for not only digital salaries but also employees in this sector. As part of this, bKash has set up fair price shops 'Affordable Market' and 'Apan Bazar' inside many factories, where workers are able to buy essential goods at a lower price than the market price. Besides, bKash has installed automatic sanitary napkin vending machines in various factories to protect the health of women workers.

In addition, bKash has been organizing training workshops on safe use of MFS in the factory premises to make the workers more aware about financial management. There are special customer service centers of bKash in the labor-intensive area, agent points have been set up near the factory gates and near the workers' residences and merchant infrastructure is being built.
